Golden Circle is the most popular tour in Iceland. We try to give you something new by taking that tour in a Superjeep.
That circle gives you a look at the rift valley that marks the crest of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and is rich historical and geological for Icelanders, one of the most famous geysers in the world and much more. Following are among the places you will see on your ride with us.
Þingvellir Parliament or Alþingi was established at Þingvellir in 930 and remained there until 1798. There you will see the rift valley that marks the crest of the Mid-Atlantic ridge.
Laugarvatn is a small but nice quiet village. The lake Laugarvatn contains some geothermal springs under the surface, making it a popular swimming spot with some warm patches along the shoreline year-round.
Geysir is the most famous geyser in the world. Geyser erupts every few minutes, making it one of the most famous part of the identity of Iceland.
Gullfoss is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country. The river Hvítá rushes southward. About a kilometer above the falls it turns sharply to the right and flows down into a wide curved three-step “staircase” and then abruptly plunges in two stages (11 m and 21 m) into a crevice 32 m (105 ft) deep. The crevice, about 20 m (60 ft) wide, and 2.5 km in length, extends perpendicular to the flow of the river.
Langjökull Glacier is the second largest glacier in Iceland. In the summertime it is easy but in wintertime this part can be hard or just dangerous. So if the weather or the conditions are bad we might have to cancel trip up to Langjökull glacier.
