The Hidden Wonders of West Iceland, Mix of it All :)

Hraunfossar, West Iceland.

You want to drive off the main road, away from the
maintraffic and still see some of Icelands most breathtaking nature wonders?

Why not take little bit of everything? national park, waterfalls, glacier and hotsprings????

This tour starts by driving to Thingvellir National Park one of our most visited place. In Thingvellir National Park was the first parliament, Althingi founded in the year 930 AD and has been an UNESCO World Heritage site since 2004.

After short stop at Thingvellir National Park we take off from the main traffic and head to one of Icelands highest mountain road, Kaldidalur or cold walley. We will take detour to Langjökull, our second largest glacier in Iceland. There comes in handy to be on a jeep on big tires.

After we visit Langjökull glacier we drive through Husafell and stop at beautiful waterfalls Hraunfossar (Lava waterfalls) and Barnafoss (children waterfall). Hraunfossar is a unique natural wonder formed by rivulets streaming over a distance of about 900 metres out of the Hallmundarhraun, a lava field which flowed from an ancient eruption.

Last stop before we head back we drive to Europe’s most powerful hot spring called Deildartunguhver.

This tour is operated all year round but need to be flexible in winter time cause of weather and snow on Kaldidalur valley.

It is optional to add 1hr Buggy tour to this one and make it even more perfect :)
